Welcome to Victoria Country Cottages, our small family-owned cottage resort located on the beautiful south side of Sturgeon Lake in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.
We’re Mike and Tammy, and our goal is simple — to provide a clean, comfortable, relaxing, and affordable cottage getaway where families, couples, friends, and fishing enthusiasts can slow down and enjoy everything cottage country has to offer.
Located just minutes from downtown Bobcaygeon, our property features five cozy cottages ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms. Each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, TV, private deck, patio set, umbrella, and propane BBQ to help make your stay feel like home.
Guests can enjoy easy access to Sturgeon Lake for swimming, fishing, boating, and relaxing by the water. We also offer dock space for your boat at no extra charge, along with shared amenities including kayaks, canoes, a paddle board, paddle boats, fire pits, and outdoor gathering spaces.
Families love our Kids Corner and shared outdoor areas designed for making memories together. Whether it’s roasting marshmallows around the campfire, spending the day on the lake, or simply enjoying a quiet morning coffee outside your cottage, we want every guest to feel welcomed and at home.
Over the years, we’ve continued to make improvements throughout the property while keeping the warm, friendly atmosphere that makes Victoria Country Cottages special.

Our story with Bobcaygeon actually began long before we owned the resort. During a family houseboat trip through the Trent-Severn Waterway in 2008, we stopped in Bobcaygeon and instantly fell in love with the area, the lake life, and the small-town charm.
Over the years, we found ourselves returning to the Kawarthas again and again. As our children grew up and began starting lives of their own, we started dreaming about making a bigger change ourselves — one that would allow us to slow down, work together, and build something meaningful.
When we discovered Victoria Country Cottages, we knew we had found our new home.
Since then, we’ve been working hard to create a warm, welcoming, family-friendly resort where guests can relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything cottage country has to offer. We’ve continued making improvements throughout the property while keeping the cozy and laid-back atmosphere that made us fall in love with it in the first place.
Located just minutes from downtown Bobcaygeon, guests can enjoy local shops, restaurants, fishing, boating, Kawartha Dairy ice cream, and of course the beautiful waters of Sturgeon Lake right here at the resort.

Pet Policy
Pets are welcome with a refundable $200 pet deposit.
We ask that:
- Pets remain leashed while on the property
- Guests clean up after their pets
- Pets are supervised during their stay
